G-SURF is a summer research program which is benchmarked against Caltech's SURF (Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship). GIST College provides opportunities for undergraduate students to be involved in GIST graduate laboratories and conduct research under the supervision of an advising professor who is in charge of the research project for 8 weeks during summer vacation.
It starts on June and ends on August. (8 weeks)
Not only do students get opportunities to conduct research in more advanced laboratories, but also they may be able to continually conduct research with the approval of the advisor. Also, students get a stipend of 600,000 KRW for the 8 week period.
Caltech SURF is an exchange program between GIST College and Caltech. 2 students from GIST College are selected to visit Caltech and have an opportunity to be involved in re- search under the supervision of Caltech professors for 10 weeks in summer.
It starts on June and ends on August (10 weeks)
Each selected student will receive a 6,000 USD scholarship from GIST College to pay for tuition, flight tickets, dormitory fees, meals, insurance, visa, etc.
