Guidance on the Laboratory Regular Safety Training of the 2024 Spring Semester

I. Regarding: Laboratory Safety Act – Article 20 (Education and Training)
II. We are implementing laboratory safety training for the 2024 Spring semester as below. 
We ask for cooperation from each faculty and department in order to have all research 
personnel complete their training.
A. Training Period: Monday, March 4th – Friday, June 14th, 2024
B. Applicable to: All research personnel participating in research activities (faculty members, 
researchers, appointed researchers, graduate and undergraduate students) 
C. Training Time: 3 hours annually to 6 hours semi-annually, based on laboratory hazard 
risk levels.
D. Training and Completion

※ Faculty with mandatory participation during Spring semester: DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY,  
EARTH SCIENCES AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING
E. Other Information
○ Online training is complete only if followed by assessment (with a score of 60 or higher).
○ Those who do not complete their training will not be able to use their ID card or 
access their grades for the spring semester of 2024.

  - The results of completion of safety education may be reflected when selecting students 
dispatched to overseas universities.
 Practical Training Information
  - Three hours of laboratory safety training will be recognized upon completion of the 
practical training session. 
  - Practical training session is available to all faculty (laboratories)
  - Refer to attachment 4 for practical training session reservations. A laboratory can make 
a reservation for up to 20 personnel.
