This group is a multidisciplinary research group based on the dynamics and control field in mechanical engineering along with electronics, electrical engineering, and computer science. The research group aims at the creation of new mechanical systems or at the innovation of existing mechanical systems to enrich the quality of human life. The research group mainly focuses on the development of various intelligent mechanical systems including robots, vehicles, aircrafts, home appliances, optical instruments, biomimetic devices, and ultraprecision machines. The research topics include automatic control, system modeling and analysis, sensors and actuators, design optimization, acoustic and vibration control, flexible electronics, error measurement and control of ultraprecision dynamics. Currently, the development of the virtual and augmented reality system, haptic interface technology for interaction with robots, intelligent robots, mobile robots, and surgical robots are also actively being investigated.
The group consists of six professors whose related laboratories and research fields are as follow.
