[신소재공학부 - 박사학위 취득요건]

0. 전공자격시험(DQE) - 구두시험 <신설 2022.06.07., 개정 2023.10.24.>

    * 2022학번부터는 전공자격 필기시험을 폐지하고, “구두시험”으로 시행함. (기존 Pre-defense와 별개)

1) 응시대상: 신소재공학부 박사과정 2022학번, 석박사통합과정 2021학번부터

    ※ 기존 DQE(필기시험) 대상자 중 현재까지 합격하기 못한 학생의 경우, 합격/불합격 과목 수에 상관없이 “구두시험”으로 대체 선택 가능

2) 응시자격: (1) 교과학점 27학점 이상 취득하고, (2) 총평점평균(TGPA)이 3.0 이상이며,

                  (3) 박사과정 입학 후 3학기부터 가능하되, 4학기 이내 통과 의무

3) 청원: 불합격 시 지도교수 청원에 의해 1회 추가 신청 가능 (5학기 이내 통과 의무)

4) 시험내용: 박사과정 중 연구내용 및 연구계획

5) 시험시기: 연 2회

   - 상반기: 6월30일까지 신청, 7월25일까지 평가

   - 하반기: 12월31일까지 신청(23년 2학기 12월 29일 오전 11시까지 신청), 익년도 1월25일까지 평가

6) 신청서류: (1)신청서, (2)연구제안서, (3)발표자료

  - 발표자료는 평가 1주일 전까지 평가위원에게 직접 제출

   ※ 연구제안서: 소정양식, 국문 또는 영문 작성, A4용지 5쪽 분량

    (1. 요약, 2. 연구의 목표 및 배경, 3. 연구의 필요성, 4. 연구의 계획 및 방법, 5. 연구 결과의 기대효과)

   ※ 발표자료: 소정양식(ppt파일 형식), 영문 작성, 15분 분량, 한글 또는 영어 발표

7) 평가위원단: 3인 – 지도교수(위원장) 구성

8) 평가방법: 연구제안서 및 발표를 모두 고려하여 평가 후 결과서 제출

  - 위원별 A(4점), B(3점), C(2점), D(1점), F(0점)로 평가*

  - 발표 15분, 질의응답 30분 이내

  - 위원은 전공지식 및 연구계획 기초단계를 고려하여 질의 및 평가

   ① 연구제안서 평가

　② 발표 평가: 실시간 평가를 원칙으로 하며, 필요 시 개별 면담할 수 있음.

9) 합격선: 평균 B(3점) 이상

  - 평균 B(3점) 미만 또는 C(2점) 이하가 둘 이상이면 불합격 처리함*

10) 결과발표: 상반기 7월31일까지, 하반기 1월31일까지

11) 이의제기: 불합격 통지를 받은 일로부터 7일 이내에 서면으로 이의신청

  - QE담당교원은 해당 평가의견을 받아 이의신청 학생에게 전달(7일 이내)하고, 이의신청 학생이 납득하지 못할 경우, QE담당교원이 이의신청 학생과 해당

    평가교원을 각각 면담 후 보고서를 작성(7일 이내), 학사운영위원회에서 심의함.

0. Major Qualification Test (DQE) - Oral Revised 2023.10.24.>

1) Subjects to: 

   From students in the Ph.D. program of SMSE in 2022 and students in the integrated master's and doctorate course in 2021

  ※ Students who have not passed the written test (DQE) so far can choose to replace them with the "Oral Test".

2) Eligibility to take the examination:

  (1) Get more than 27 credits in the curriculum,

  (2) The Total Score Average (TGPA) is 3.0 or higher,

  (3) It is possible from the third semester after entering the Ph.D. program, but it is mandatory to pass within the fourth semester

3) Petiton: If you fail, you can apply for one additional oral test at the request of the advisor (obligations to pass within five semesters)

4) Test contents: Research contents and plan during Ph.D. program

5) Test time: Twice a year

   - 1st half: Application by June 30 / Evaluation by July 25

   - 2nd half: Application by December 31 / Evaluation by January 25 of the following year

 ※ The test time for the second semester of 2023:  Application by 11:00 am on December 29, 2023 / Evaluation by January 25, 2024

  * Presentation xss-document.are submitted directly to the committee members

  * Research proposal: Prescribed form, Korean or English, 5 pages of A4 size

  * Presentation xss-document. Prescribed form(ppt format), written in English, 15 minutes to be presented in Korean or English

7) Evaluation Committee: 3 people –  organized by the advisor(= chairperson)

8) Evaluation method: Submit the results after evaluation considering both research proposal and presentation

  - Evaluation by committee members as A (4 points), B (3 points), C (2 points), D (1 point), and F (0 points)

  - Presentation within 15 minutes, followed by a 30-minute question and answer session.

  ② Presentation Evaluation: Real-time evaluation is a principle, and individual interviews are available if necessary.

9) Pass: Average B (3 points) or higher

  - Fail if the average is less than B or more than two Cs.

10) Announcement of Results: Notification by July 31 in the first half and January 31 in the second half of the year

11) xss-objection: Submission in writing within 7 days of notification of failure

  - The professor in charge of QE delivers the evaluation opinion to the student who filed the xss-objection within 7 days.

  - If the student who filed the xss-objection is not satisfied, the professor in charge of QE interviews the student who filed the xss-objection and the evaluation committee respectively to prepare a report (within 7 days), and deliberates on it by the SMSE Academic Committee.
