Recent climate change has caused a damage to many marine organisms, suppressing grow rate and even inducing a mass mortality. With the cooperation of Stable Isotope Ecology Lab (GIST, SESE), we study the physiological change of marine organism (mostly mollusca) exposed to various environmental stressors in a molecular level. Isobaric tag-based quantitative bottom-up proteomic analysis is performed against samples with different stress condition. By utilizing relative ion abundance and the functional annotation of each protein, a biological interpretation is performed. By assistance of statistics and bioinformatics tools including gene ontology and metabolic pathway analyzer, we can see through what’s happening in the marine organism.
